The Approach

 

The techniques used in Christian's work have remained virtually unchanged for centuries. The process is highly labour intensive at every stage; from creating the initial scale design, to drawing the full size cartoons, to cutting, painting, firing and leading all of the individual pieces of glass.

Christian is committed to using traditional techniques and materials to continue the art and craft of making stained glass so that it can be enjoyed for future generations. This has never been more important, as the making of traditional stained glass windows is under threat and has been placed on the Heritage Crafts Red List.
